Jupiter Fly and Light Tackle Fishing

Welcome to Jupiter Fly Fishing.  I am a USCG licensed and insured captain running a 2005 Pathfinder 22 in the waters around Jupiter, FL.  I specialize in fly and light tackle inshore, and nearshore fishing.  I call the area from Ft. Pierce south to Palm Beach Inlet my home waters.  Depending on the time of year, target species include snook, tarpon, jack crevalle, trout, redfish, cobia, pompano, permit, dolphin, kingfish, bluefish, spanish mackeral, false albacore (bonito), blackfin tuna, and spinner sharks.  Contact me to see whats biting currently.  Kids are welcome on my vessel.

I promote conservation of our valuable fishery, therefore I am not the guide who judges how successful a trip is by how many fish we can put in the cooler.  It’s perfectly fine to keep your catch so long as it’s within the legal limits, just remember you can catch a fish hundreds of times, but you can eat a fish only once.  Keeping fish for a dinner or two is a great idea, but feeding the neighborhood is not.  I aim to contribute to maintaining a sustainable recreational fishery for our future.  If your goal is to feed the neighborhood, I can suggest other guides who can help you with your goal.  A good trip to me is keeping a few pompano for dinner, and keeping rods bent the entire time.

You will meet me at Burt Reynolds Boat Ramp Park located about 1 mile north of Indiantown Road on US 1.  There are two boat launching areas, one on the west side of the road, and one on the east side.  I use the EAST side ramps.  You must park near the fire station, and The Loxahatchee River Center ( 805 N US Highway 1, Jupiter, FL 33477 ).  If you park in a boat trailer spot, you will receive a ticket.  After you park, walk straight north through all the boat trailer parking.  You will see the ramps to your left, and a restroom to your right.  Do not walk east towards the playground area.  I will be waiting for you down near the 4 boat ramps, if the ramps are busy I may be tied up just to the right of the 4 ramps.
